Selflessness ...

Why do you fight and argue with each other? Isn't it because you are full of selfish desires that fight to control your body?  James 4:1 (CEV)

Selfishness is at the core of the human condition. We want what we want and we fight to get it. Even with our spouse.

In a healthy marriage husband and wife work to overcome their own selfishness by seeking to serve and understand each other.
